Dr. Ann Stacks from the Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute will present an overview of typical early childhood development in the context of nurturing relationships, how and why trauma impacts early child well-being and how assessments can impact the provision of services.  Various breakout sessions will address parenting, drug exposed infants, medical marijuana, attachment, and parenting.  3 ½ social work credits will be offered, as well as 4 ½ hours toward endorsement requirements.  This conference is sponsored by the UP Children’s Coalition and the UP Chapter of MI-AIMH.
