| EOT&TA is pleased to work with human service and education partners to enhance
the continuum of training opportunities available to early interventionists
and other providers who work with young children and their families.
Currently, EOT&TA is working with the Unified System of Learning to offer:
Knowing Ourselves and Connecting with Families - Using reflective
practice and relationship-based work with families of infants and young children
when
parents are challenged by
mental illness, cognitive impairments, and/or unstable living conditions.
This
is a three-part series which requires participation in all sessions.
The principles of reflective practice and relationship-based work as explored
in
Session One will be integrated throughout the series. Mini-lectures, video
clips, and interactive activities will be used to ensure a lively and thoughtful
exchange of ideas. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences.
Credit toward the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MI-AIMH) Endorsement and State Board of Education Continuing Education Units (SB-CEUs) are available to participants. Social Work Continuing Education Units will be available, pending approval.
The National Association of Social Workers requires that EOT&TA provide contact information should participants have a grievance. If participants have a concern about this training, please contact Christy Callahan, Director, Office of Innovative Projects, at (517) 668-0185 or callahan@edzone.net. Please note any ADA requirements on your registration form under "Special Accommodations" or "Dietary Needs".
