The Michigan Department of Education and Early On Training and Technical Assistance will be convening Early On Coordinators, their supervisors and Special Education Directors to discuss what will take place during focused monitoring visits and compliance visits. Discussions will also take place around follow-up and technical assistance for service areas that are in the determination categories of Needs Assistance and Needs Intervention.

Items on the agenda will include:

• The Early On Michigan budget cut from the feds and Michigan's response;
• Federal determination of state compliance and consequences;
• Overview of state determination of service area compliance and requirements for the future;
• Expectations regarding each compliance and results indicator and associated guidance documents;
• Improvement planning process, including samples, and quarterly reports;
• Technical Assistance available to service areas; and
• Presentations from model service areas.
