This all-day conference is being offered through the partnership of the Building Stronger Communities Council (BSCC) and the Clinton County Housing and Homeless Coalition. A generous training allowance from the Clinton County Department of Human Services Strong Families/Safe Children grant has underwritten a majority of the costs.

Like many communities in the State of Michigan, Clinton County has experienced its share of factory closings and job losses. We've witnessed the lists of foreclosures in the newspaper and watched as some of our neighbors struggle to heat their homes or put gas in their vehicles. Most of us have lived with limited resources at one time or another. But do we really understand poverty?

Mr. Eagleton has over 30 years of experience in working with economically disadvantaged families and students as an employment counselor, job developer, juvenile justice worker and trainer.

The cost to attend the seminar is $20 and includes breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration is required. Questions? Contact Debby Kloosterman at 517-668-0185 or
