Grief and Loss in Children
This seminar will explore the impact of grief and loss, especially loss due to community violence, on children's cognitive, emotional and psychological functioning. Examine ways in which children and youth typically express loss as well as signs of unresolved grief. Explore clinical models, both child and family centered, that promote a healthy expression of grief and loss in children.

Presenter: Felicia Berry LMSW is a psychiatric social worker at Children's Hospital of Michigan. She has many years of experience in the area of grief and loss including counseling individuals, families and children in a family bereavement program as well as training professionals from community organizations, faith-based programs, and schools.
