The Michigan Collaborative Early Childhood Conference (MCECC) is a conference for the Michigan early childhood community, including teachers, staff, and administrators in the Great Start Readiness Program, Early Head Start and Head Start, Early On®, Project Find, Early Childhood Special Education, Even Start, Great Parents, Great Start and child care.

The Michigan Collaborative Early Childhood Conference is sponsored by the Michigan Department of Education in collaboration with the Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing/Michigan Department of Human Services, Early Childhood Investment Corporation, Early On® Michigan, Head Start-State Collaboration Office, Michigan 4C Association, Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children, and Michigan Head Start Association.

The conference emphasizes the importance of integrating services through collaboration among early childhood programs, public schools, community agencies and families. The goal of the conference is to provide participants with a format for discussion of current information regarding research studies, collaborative planning and teaching strategies, a sharing of ideas and techniques, and an affirmation of the importance of establishing a rich, supportive environment and high quality services for young children and their families. Participants have the opportunity to earn State Board of Education Continuing Education Units (SB-CEUs).
