Details:

The Infant-Toddler Developmental Assessment (IDA) is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, family-centered, infant-toddler evaluation process, which may be used to determine eligibility for Early On® Michigan. The IDA is for professionals from various disciplines who are responsible for assessing the development of infants and toddlers.

The IDA Training is offered as a three-day series. IDA Day 1 and Day 2 are offered back-to-back, and Day 3 is scheduled for about 6 weeks later. Participants register for Days 1, 2, and 3 together. Each training session can accommodate twelve 2-person teams (24 participants total). To complete the training, each participant will be responsible for video-taping an administration of the IDA and the parent interview and submitting it for review.

Each team must purchase its own IDA kit which includes manuals and assessment materials. Teams must bring the kits (including manuals, assessment materials, and toys) to the first and second days of the training. Kits may be purchased through Riverside Publishing or at 1-800-323-9540.

A letter of support from the participant's supervisor, indicating Early On or non-Early On affiliation and support for the requirements of the training, must be signed and received on or before Day 1 of the training. A form letter is available by clicking here.

1.5 State Board of Education Continuing Education Units (1.5 SB-CEUs) will be granted for interested individuals who participate fully in all 3 sessions.
