Sponsored by the Early On Center for Higher Education, this is an opportunity for 2 and 4 yr college faculty and community trainers to learn more about the DECA-IT, an assessment of young childrens social and emotional health and resliency, used widely in Michigan's early intervention systems. In this training participants will learn more about how the DECA can be used to: 1) Collect reliable and valid information on the social and emotional a) health of individual children, b) quality of the home and the group care environment, and c) health of adult caregivers. 2) Develop and implement plans for the environment (home and group care), the child, and the adult caregiver to bring about quality change. 3) Evaluate pre and post outcomes.
