It’s Your Time! - A Workshop for Parents of Children with Special Needs

This day long workshop is designed with parents in mind, providing overviews of popular topics and a time to recharge and relax. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other parents and service providers in a friendly comfortable setting. The morning kick off will feature an inspiring performance featuring the Living Light Dance Company led by Delight Lester. Vendors and service providers will be available throughout the day to talk about their services. Breakout sessions will feature topics including: effective parenting strategies, maintaining healthy family relationships, music therapy, taking care of yourself in a busy world, writing understandable IEPs, making mealtimes less chaotic, support for sensory issues, information regarding trusts and wills, communication support, and a panel featuring siblings of children with special needs.
