This year's winter workshop focus is: Positive Behavior Supports for Young Children.

This workshop features Dr. Jason Novetsky, a school psychology consultant for Behavior and Learning Support at Macomb Intermediate School District. He coordinates the Macomb County Positive Behavior Support Coaches Network, is a state trainer and behavior coach for Michigan's Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MiBLSi), conducts trainings on the school-wide implementation of Positive Behavior Support, Functional Assessment of Behavior and Behavior Intervention Planning, Classroom Management, is involved in various projects implementing and studying Response to Intervention (RtI), and is a general consultant to local district school psychologists, school social workers and teachers.


He earned a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education from Oakland University. His dissertation was on the "Perceptions of Head Start Teachers' Implementation of Classroom Positive Behavior Support: Insights for Teacher Training."


His combination of practical knowledge, experience, and humor along with his effective use of multi-media make him a sought-after speaker for all audiences.
