Coaching Strategies in Natural Learning Environments 
This program provides participants with the opportunity to understand and use coaching as an interaction style for working with parents and/or colleagues in home visiting early childhood programs.  Participants will have the opportunity to observe the instructors role-play various coaching scenarios, analyze videotapes of others coaching using instruments from the coaching toolkit, and then practice and analyze their own coaching through role-play and videotape review.  Participants will be able to explain the purpose of using a coaching style of interaction with families and colleagues.  Participants will recognize research-based characteristics of coaching in action.  Participants will operationalize the research-based characteristics of coaching with families and colleagues.
