Zack Boukydis,

Zack Boukydis, Ph.D., is a faculty member of the Infant Mental Health Program at the Merrill-Palmer Institute of Wayne State University. He is a developmental/clinical psychologist. He has supervised people from different disciplines in their work with infants and parents, and has developed a model of parent-infant consultation and therapy, Foucusing-Oriented Parent-Infant Consultation model; (Boukydis,1990), based on listening and helping parents listen to their 'felt sense' of their interactions with their infants.
This training series will involve: 1) learning more about listening to oneself
and others using the approach of experiential listening and focusing (see www.focusing.org);
2) learning to incorporate listening and focusing (based on the Focusing-Oriented
Parent-Infant Consultation model; Boukydis,1990); and 3) ongoing reflective
supervision in using the approach with parents and infants in your work setting. Zack Boukydis, Ph.D.
