Announcing Day 1 of a two-part workshop for professionals working with families with infants and young children Knowing Ourselves and Connecting with Families

Using reflective practice and relationship-based work with families of infants and young children when parents are challenged by cognitive impairments and/or unstable living conditions (due to poverty, domestic violence, and homelessness). The principles of reflective practice and relationship-based will be explored and integrated throughout the training. Mini-lectures, video clips, and interactive activities will be used to ensure a lively and thoughtful exchange of ideas. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences. Credit toward the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MI-AIMH) Endorsement, State Board of Education Continuing Education Units (SB-CEUs), and Michigan Nurses Association Continuing Education Contact Hours (pending approval) are available to participants.
