Three goals of Playful Literacy and You (PLaY) are to increase
  • Children's chances for success with literacy and future learning
  • Early childhood professionals' knowledge in the area of early literacy development
  • Families' understanding and support of the emerging literacy process
Training includes
  • Exploration of key literacy components: oral language, written language, reading and positive attitudes
  • Active participation of learners
  • Applications for use with children birth through age 5
  • Suggestions for use of relevant and age appropriate elements of Michigan Literacy Progress Profile (MLPP)

Target Audience: Pre-K and Developmental K Teachers of children birth through age 5

Location: All Workshops will be at Mason-Lake Intermediate School District, 2130 W. US 10, Ludington, MI
