Sensory Integration (SI) Tool Kit Workshop

The SI Tool Kit™ workshop reviews current research to support evidence-based practice and education. Diana will discuss the upcoming School Assessment of Sensory Integration (SASI) promoting collaboration and partnerships between schools and clinics.

During this two day workshop, participants will:

  • Be introduced to sensory integration, sensory processing, and sensory defensiveness in a user-friendly format.
  • Be introduced to the upcoming School Assessment of Sensory Integration (SASI
  • Identify and ‘take care' of their own sensory needs.
  • Identify how student behaviors may relate to sensory integration/sensory processing dysfunction.
  • Design sensory spaces to make classroom and home environments ‘sensory safe'.
  • Learn how to use the Tool Chest™ handbook as an in-classroom evaluation tool, during the mock classroom demonstration.
  • Learn how to use Tool Chest™ activities by participating in the hands-on mat work with chair balls.
