2006 Teleconference Series

The seminars are 90-minute structured telephone conferences. Prior to the teleconference, registered participants receive a packet of material via email which includes: instructions for accessing the call, an agenda, biographical information about the speaker, a participant roster, and other handouts. The registration fee for these seminars is $25 for each session or $75 for the series. All of the teleconferences are scheduled for 11:00am - 12:30pm Pacific Time.

Infants Exposed Prenatally to Methamphetamines: Developmental Effects and Effective Interventions

Women who use methamphetamines during pregnancy expose their children to potentially harmful effects at a critical period of neurological and physical development. Dr. Shah will discuss her research findings on the effects of prenatal methamphetamine exposure on children, as witnessed in her clinic. This presentation will also outline how to develop treatment plans to provide effective developmentally and age appropriate interventions with these children and their families.
